We ended up having to reschedule at least twice due to snap restrictions, and each time they were happy to accomodate us and be flexible. It's worth noting that when they say the accomodation is basic, it means basic. However, we managed two young kids for two nights, so it all works. We have been turned away from other campsites in Bright and are hopeful for a generous tree to camp under as we wait out the predicted rainfall over the next couple of days. By now we are starting to cool down and need to get out of our wet gear, our options are dwindling and Covid still means limited capacity even if there is space available. Within minutes a padlocked door is unbolted and we are shown a room where we can pitch our tent on the floorboards or outside under the veranda if we prefer! The lidded wooden banquets along the walls resemble communal mountaineering huts where rucksacks and equipment are stored inside and hikers sleeping bags are laid out on top. Perfect! A quick sweep of the floor and we’re all set. The afternoon is spent under the wide veranda chatting to other campers as they pass by, skirting puddles and barely avoiding the torrential downpour that has set in. The feeling is very convivial and relaxed. We are at the bottom of Mystic Mountain, a hub for mountain bike riders of all ages. And the setting is an old forest school camp that began life as a series of loggers huts in the 1930’s. I’m not sure whether a comment at reception about ‘quarantine huts’ is a recent or historical reference (or maybe a joke?) The grounds have beautiful established trees, both European and native species, creating a really calm setting. There are no paved roads on site and the casual layout avoids the deafening scream of ‘welcome to suburbia’, which seems to resound from the gridded uniformity of many branded campsites. Instead, this feels like a memory of municipal camp-grounds in rural Victoria before they were all sold off to managers, when an ‘honesty box’ was nailed to a tree and someone would be around to collect the fees. Camp Crusty won’t appeal to everyone. Those that decide not to stay will leave a negative review and those who do stay, will return. Our experience was one of kindness and hospitality. We were certainly not disappointed!read less

However, I was so impressed with how well the facilities were maintained (I personally saw someone cleaning the bathrooms and/or camp kitchen on the majority of my visits) and its own great history (many of the cabins are old miner’s huts). The staff were absolutely amazing and so friendly. If you can get past the rustic nature of the facilities and how crowded it can get (all of Bright is at this time), it’s a great place. The bike trails and river are just next to the camp so it’s so convenient (particularly if you have kids) and it’s only a quick bike ride into the center of town.read less

Camp Crusty is a old forestry camp that has morphed into caravan / tourist park . The single rooms are basic but good value ar $38 a night . The room is clean , has 2 beds and a heater and fan .The facilities like the the amenities block are old and in need of either love or replacement . There is plenty of hot water in the showers and the toilets have a good flush. I didn’t use the kitchen .The staff are friendly and helpful . The grounds are well maintained and mowed . The is some new building happening for what looks like new amenities. There is great views of the mountains and the trees make for a restful ambience .The town of Bright is only 5 minutes away by car .

Rustic bush camping in beautiful location and friendly phone staff. The powered site was only just big enough for a camper trailer, tent and car. I recommend bringing a very long power cord or at least a double adapter for your shorter cord.Management are nowhere to be seen, which seems to give many campers license to be noisy late into the night. A text sent out reminding people to be considerate just isn’t enough. If you want modern facilities avoid this camp, but if that doesn’t phase you, you’ll likely be very happy here.

Knows what it is and does it well. The rooms are basic but fine. Clean, comfortable enough. If you'd rather save on accommodation and spend your money on mountain bike shuttles or at the brewery then this place is ideal

Great location for mountain biking! The things I used and enjoyed were campground, the large kitchen for washing dishes, table tennis, the cafe for coffee and muffins, hot water showers and the crush bike wash. Also great that there's a jump track across the road

Great position and the camping spots were very good. amenities were old but clean and worked well. There is a newer block also. It is a bike rider's heaven. included a bike wash station. Being high season it was expensive.

Cheap, basic and loads of vacancies so nice and peaceful.Highly recommend using the newer toilet block up the back. Not as picturesque as the places in town, but certainly more spacious and conveniently located near the shuttle 👌🏼And lots of cute cows to pat in the morning

Great place staff so help full Perfect location…. Great staff…. Best time ever will be back in 2 weeks….. showers were so good after a big day shuttling…. Blue dirt shuttles are 1min ride away…. Even in a camp caravan park still felt you were in nature…. Town is 10min ride if you are cruising on your bike….Adam from Thredbo

Good camping for those who like their camp pretty basic and rustic but still with hot showers, flushing toilets and easy access to town.It rained heavily when we were there and many sites became big mud puddles and a lot of people appeared to leave early, so beware bad weather if you are in a tent.Option to have your own wood fire is a big plus, and there are plenty of trees around. Nicer environment than the overly built-up resort style caravan parks in my opinion. We would stay again.

It covers all the basics really well! Not for those looking for a posh camping experience, but a great location with a good community feel. And being able to bring our pooch along was the icing on the cake.

Cabins and facilities are basic but everything works and was clean. Grounds are well kept (some areas under renovation when we were there) and staff were friendly. Super location if planning to mountain bike ride at Mystic Mountain Bike park. Suggestion - drainage for caravan grey water discharge would be a big upgrade.

Great place to stay at the bottom of the Mystic bike park runs. It’s a 200 m ride to the shuttle area and when you come down the track you can stop in and grab water etc from your camp. The little units a clean and comfortable for the price

It was a great spot and location for a 3-night longer camping. The amenities were fully equipped and tidy. The campsite was neat and spacious enough. They got different options for camping including cabins for affordable prices. I opted for a powered site and pitched my tent ⛺. Must appreciate their free bathroom, and kitchen (with an oven, fridge and BBQs) facilities. They were clean enough and serviced well. The site is pet-friendly and kids safe as well. The location was scenic. For those who wanted to visit Mt.Hotham, Mt.Beauty etc., I suggest this location would be the best to camp/stay.The staffs were really friendly and helpful 💯.As a suggestion, I would recommend adding a few kid's play areas and some indoor activities, which may be a little more enthusiastic and relaxing for a few people.Anyways this place is highly recommendable and will visit again soon 😊

Great Spot to camp, bathrooms are clean and tidy, didn't use the kitchen but seemed more then good enough.I stayed in the Twin Cabin and it was Cozy and warm, did struggle length wise in the bed but im taller than most. Everyone winging about it being cold and ran down must all be from city and don't know how the country weather works, we stayed three nights and had no problems..Thanks Team Crusty

Have a look at the photos before you come as it's a bit of an older style accommodation. Cabins and bathrooms, bedding and extra blankets were clean and cabins have a small heater and were perfectly warm all night when it was -6 outside. If you get cold and are coming in winter I'd bring a sleeping bag to be sure. It's on the budget end in terms of price so set your expectations but we had 2 great nights stay and an awesome 2 days skiing up at Mt Hotham. Would definitely stay again.

This holiday park meters away from bright town centre. We booked powered site for 2 nights. The site was quiet and relaxing with amenities close by 50mtrs. The amenities and cabins are old, however the management seems to be renovating and fixing. I enjoyed my stay here and would come back again. I wish next time the powered sites close to the river are open.

Family and dog friendly, great location. Great location and super friendly staff. Amenities were not new but nice and clean. A little muddy driving in but once on the site it was fine. Nice and relaxing next to the river and across from the mountain bike tracks! Fabulous for kids that like to get their hands dirty and ride all day! A nice little 15min walk into the centre of Bright. Dog friendly and fire pits available for a small price. Thanks we will definitely be back!

We loved our stay at camp crusty! Our site was very spacious, everyone was very friendly and the amenities were clean. It’s a great location with lots of great walking and bike tracks close by and only a 25 minute walk into the main town. Bonus that there’s a cafe on site selling coffee every morning, plus a pizza oven! Would definitely stay again.

Camp Crusty is the perfect place for a mountain biking trip away. It is literally at trail head for mystic and across the road from the shuttle pickup point. The accomodation and amenities are basic but very clean and the beds are comfortable. Great place to get a group together, have a roaring fire and enjoy the surrounds and amazing trails. I've also gone here with my young kids for a quite weekend of being in nature, they love it here.

A lovely stay in an amazing location. Teenagers kept busy all day with mountain-biking and swimming in the river and plenty of trees for adults to have a sit and drink under. Service was excellent especially when our tent got flooded and needed a cabin at short notice. Buildings were old but had a really nice feel and everything was clean and functional. Highly recommend for families and groups.

Camp Crusty - Bright Cabin and Caravan Park has been one of the best travel experiences for my daughter and daughter in law. Camp Crusty Bright is a great camping ground, surrounded by leafy trees. The amenities are dated, but the staff do a wonderful job keeping them clean. My partner and I have stayed here a number of times now; our favourite part of Camp Crusty is it's location next to the mountain bike tracks, that it's dog friendly and you're allowed to have fires at your site. Despite being a bit out of town, the short walk into town is very easy and a nice way to get the feel of the town.

At a first glance you'll notice the facilities are a bit aged, but it's what you find when you get passed all that!We took the camper trailer here and were provided a generous sized flat shady non-powered campsite. This absolutely met our needs and then some. The sites are grassy, but it's a bit dry so put down a ground sheet. Our 2 big dogs came along and were welcomed with open arms. They've had as much fun as we did.Very easy walk into town via a few well established paths, including along the creek. Say 15 mins if you dawdle.Dip your feet into the beautiful creek running along edge of the park at the end of a hot Summer's day. Or spend the whole day there. It needs to be seen to be believed. We were the only ones here without a bike... if you like mountain bike, this is definitely the right spot for you. There's plenty to do if you're not a cyclist too. Hiking etc.I forgot to mention the coffee! Start you day right with a barrista brewed cup and egg and bacon roll from the on-site Cafe. Very well done. Absolutely fantastic. Bloody good coffee.

Friendly staff to great us. A great feeling of nostalgia this camp ground dates back to logging days in the 1940s and then in the 50s a adventure playground for school kids till the 90s. We baked apples in the pizza oven and had clean accomodation and showers. Clear babbling brook to cool off in and birds to wake up with. Bicycle whooshing sounds made a nice background soundscape.

Clean cabins, clean bathrooms and and being surrounded by the lush trees and mountains as well as steps away from a running creek oasis- Camp crusty combines all the basic necessities with an Idealistic location and exceptional customer service. The Staff are all incredibly friendly, helpful and accomodating and the cafe in the morning is an added bonus. A great place to stay. Very convenient to everything bright has to offer. The staff were very accomodating and friendly. Thanks to the team. Coffee definitely puts some of melbs cafes to shame and the bacon n egg roll is a great way to start the day. Only issue why we dropped the last star was amenities per head once the park fills up. But all n all, very enjoyable.

These guys were excellent during the uncertainty of covid and trying to book a holiday. We ended up having to reschedule at least twice due to snap restrictions, and each time they were happy to accomodate us and be flexible. It's worth noting that when they say the accomodation is basic, it means basic. However, we managed two young kids for two nights, so it all works. It's close to everything in town and the surrounding areas, whether walking, riding or driving and there is lots of room for camping which I would love to come back to try one day.

I stayed at Camp Crusty in a cabin with my two sisters and it was perfect- clean and simple! This is a beautiful place for camping and exploring. You can go climb the hills and also there is a really nice river next to it for running water. This is our 3rd stay at Camp Crusty. I took 10 14yo boys mountain biking and you could not get a more perfect location. It’s basic but the important amenities like bathrooms and showers are great. It’s the best location to Mystics MTB park as well. Thank you again we will be back.

Stayed at camp crusty a few times now with my family. We all enjoyed our stays and the river that runs along side is awesome and a gr8 spot to cool off in the hot months. The camp is old and the on site amenities are adequate. The egg and bacon rolls served at the cafe are very nice indeed. Location is spot on with a short, easy walk into the town where you will find lots of shops, cafés, bars, restaurants etc. If you are into mountain biking then this is the place to go. Will definitely return in the future.

Disappointment can be measured against expectation. We arrive at Camp Crusty on loaded cycle-touring bikes, soaked to the bone. We were certainly not disappointed!

Fantastic place for mountain biking accom. Friendly staff, great vibe and nice big powered sites.Only things I'd recommend to them would be some signs that are easier to see when arriving at night so you can tell where to go and whilst the ammenities were fine, they could use a little tlc, but by no means a deal breaker! Great joint.

Cabin was basic, but comfortable enough for the weekend. Bathroom facilities were easy to get to, even though they were shared. Kitchen was sufficient and not too busy with other visitors

Nice little spot to camp. Sites are pretty big compared to most places.. also cheaper. Showers have nice pressure and hot water always. Also a massive perk being so close to Blue Dirt shuttles.

Service from Camp Crusty is absolutely amazing. Especially from Eleanor, nothing is to hard for her - just when it comes to small changes and accommodating my stay. Also with riding the Mystic Bike Park trail network, the position of Camp Crusty is excellent. Ride all day and have a clean up / shower before going home. Camp Crusty is excellent!

Crusty by Name, Crusty by Nature.Bit rough around the edges but this caravan park has everything a mountain biker could ever need. With close proximity to the trailhead and a short ride from the local brewery. It's the perfect place to unwind after a hard day shredding the trails. We also experienced excellent customer service from Scarlett and we are looking forward to staying here again next time we visit Bright.

Our family had a great time at the park. The location is perfect for anyone liking the outdoors: MTB trails all around, close to the town centre, campfires each night and a nice and relaxed atmosphere. Bike wash station is a great addition. The amenities however need an upgrade. It would also have been nice from the Park to do something for the kids on Easter. While the amenities are dated, they were kept clean and functional. We will definitely be back!

Always a lovely relaxing environment with polite, welcoming staff members who maintain the park and keep all facilities very clean. Stay in the cabins each time, looks can be deceiving... they do not look like much from the outside but inside is clean and provides everything required to avoid having to bring the tent. Will definitely be back again the bike tracks are great for all levels of riding.

The family had a cracking time at Camp Crusty. It's a beautiful spot by the river, right next to the MTB park which is awesome for all ages and levels. The facilities are clean and well maintained, they even have a communal kitchen area with fridge and freezer for anyone who is travelling light. Some areas of ground are quite pebbly and can be difficult to peg into, so good idea to bring heavy duty pegs, or a drill for pilot holes. Will definitely be back!

24/05/2022
A great weekend had with Micheal and the Camp Crusty crew. They are super accommodating and helpful, making our stay really easy.It was cold, wet and muddy in Bright but the toilet blocks were always clean and the showers were always hot. Spot on after riding all day on the mountain bike trails or playing in the snow up the mountains, before settling down for a few cordials in front of the fire.Areas of the campsite were muddy. It’s the middle of winter and the rain hasn’t stopped in Bright for 6 weeks! We wore gumboots! (And the kids loved jumping in the puddles.) But our grassy campsite drained really quickly and was not muddy at all. This is not your “concrete pad” caravan park. If that’s what you’re after, go to Big4 or NRMA. Camp Crusty is a great bush camp with basic but clean amenities. We just love the back to nature old school charm of the place. It’s a cracker.
Danny Morling
24/05/2022
I love camp crusty. 50m to swimming holes, best access to Mystic MTB Park.Old place with a new vibe. Despite old facilities it’s being well managed to cater for big crowds. Will definitely stay again.

24/05/2022
This is one of my favourite camp sites. If you are looking for concrete pads, manicured lawns and home away from home style accommodation this is not for you. This is a rustic campsite that takes you back to nature yet allows you the luxury of warm clean showers after a day exploring all that Bright and the surroundings have to offer. We stayed during a very wet period and yet our grass site never got muddy due to it being well drained. Michael was so easy to deal with when we needed to make some last minute changes to our booking due to the ever changing Covid restrictions that I’m sure have impacted this business hard. The buildings aren’t modern but that adds to the charm and encourages you to unwind from modern city living. The additional extras such as a mountain bike cleaning station are a great addition. With many MTB tracks starting or ending next to the park making it a perfect spot to stay for bike enthusiasts of any level.

Camp crusty was an absolute delight to stay at. The staff were friendly and accomodating, going above and beyond to ensure that we had a comfortable stay. The location is fabulous - connecting to the mountain biking tracks and only a 10 minute bike ride from the centre of town. The amenities are simple but clean and easy to use. The communal pizza ovens are a really nice touch. So lovely to stay nestled next to the pine forest and on the edge of a creek - many beautiful walks to discover.

We went here with the kids and all had a great time playing in nature, walking along the creek, listening to the kookaburra’s. The fire pits are great for marshmallows with the kids and the camp is located in a great spot for unwinding and even getting some mountain biking in. Thanks for the great times. The facilities were rustic but very clean and the water was nice and hot. :)

Beautiful place to stay lots of trees, wildlife, bike and walking tracks, the creek was a great place to cool off camp kitchen made our stay easier. Staff were friendly and helpful, after getting rained out the first night swapping from a tent site to a cabin at short notice wasn't a hassle, ammonites and cabins are dated but kept clean. Overall we had a great stay and will be back for longer next time.

Unpowered camp Booked in unpowered camp from 3/1/22 to 9/1/22. Sadly left on the 5/1/22 due to the terrible weather not the camp site. I was staying peak season so was paying more money. The camp was interesting with the old houses around it. The facilities were old but working and were cleaned and tidied daily it appeared. The area is convenient to Bright and a pretty area with the campsite having a creek . This was well used in the hot days I had!!!Good for families with children on bikes ect and appearing to make friends with other kids off on bike rides around the camp. Lots of dogs, pet friendly which is a definite plus. 😃An outdoor cafe is set up each morning cooking bacon/eggs and coffee for campers It is a basic, rustic camp. For the area is value and affordable even in peak season. My only request to the camp is address the pot holes and driveway. Put some stones/rocks to fill these. Especially for the rainy times we keep getting. Will stay again. Cheers Sheila

Amazing experience We can’t fault the staff and the hospitality at camp crusty. After an unfortunate mishap we were unable to attend on our original check in date. We contacted the camp and without hesitation they rescheduled our booking! And this was during peak season!!! The amenities were always well stoked and clean. The staff were friendly and there was ample information about what to do in the area. Memories made to last a lifetime and will certainly be returning next year!

Clean beds, Clean bathrooms, hot showers and cheap... Been going here for years as we mountain bike next door. The facilities are very old type cabins and don't expect anything more. But they are perfect for what people want out of them. The beds are clean, bathrooms clean and showers hot. You can get a cabin or camp in the same grounds. Never disappointed and suits our needs perfectly.

Camp Crusty Cabin Caravan Park originally built in the 1950s as camp for loggers working in the local pine plantation and still today. In 1980s hosted school groups and clubs.Their facilities are as old as the buildings. They are basic but surprisingly very clean. The friendly staff are accomodating and very helpful. They have a wonderful history and proud to share with guests. This is BUDGET accomodation so DON'T book if you are looking for luxury. It is good to support a local family run business. Our family found the place very QUIET, PEACEFUL, SCENIC LOCATION right by the stream, Perfect stop for bike riders or overnight stop over.Clean cabinsThe Electric blankets and heaters were such a welcoming luxury.Clean toiletsindoor and outdoor camp firesbike wash stationtelevision and games roomfree wi-fipet friendly (camping only)licenced barpizza ovenbarbeque facilitiesshare kitchen(kettles, toaster, cooktops, microwave, dish washing facility)share bathroomslaundry facilitieslocal swimming hole nearby

24/05/2021
At first glance of the rustic facilities, one might not appreciate what it has to offer. The bike trails and river are just next to the camp so it’s so convenient (particularly if you have kids) and it’s only a quick bike ride into the center of town.

Love camping here - gorgeous trees, lovely people and the new café is a great idea. Amenities could do with an update but this is part of the charm. Highly recommend staying here if you are into mountain bike riding - the trails begin and end at the park and are awesome to ride.

24/05/2021
Clean but old park. Everything works as it should and there's no complaints about the cleanliness of amenities, but everything is soooo old and worn down. Just replace the shower heads and put up some boarding and tiling, install some new stoves and upgrade the electrical and kitchenettes and the park would definitely be worth 5 stars. Despite this I would not hesitate to return and recommend. Just don't expect anything more than the basics and you're good.
Micha Bessems
24/05/2021
Camp Crusty is yearly highlight for our family, the kids love the close proximity to the mountain bike trails, and the adults enjoy just kicking back and relaxing, taking in the beautiful scenery, and catching up with friends, this camp is not five star in amenities by any means, don't expect a jumping pillow or swimming pool, but it certainly gets five stars from us for friendliness, spirit, and convenience to holiday our way.
Jay Sanderson
24/05/2021
Great location and relaxing place. But infrastructure like toilets and camp kitchen is inadequate for number of people. Also booking process seemed to double dip ie people paid for site but were added onto original booking instead of getting their own site. 6 seperate bookings made but 4 sites allocated. Quiet at night which is good.

24/05/2021
We had a great time camping, the park is friendly and accomodating. We had a fire and were in a very comfortable location. It’s not luxurious, and that’s exactly what we were looking for. 1min ride to the Trailhead for MTB.... could not get a better location.
Andrew Phillips
24/05/2021
Inexpensive caravan park that suits mountain bike riders very well due to the nearness of Mystic Park. Friendly and helpfull staff
Dean Rainford
24/05/2021
Camp Crusty is perfectly located at the base of Mystic Mountain Bike Park and the Bright Wondilligong trail. It’s an old school style caravan park so don’t expect the ends of the dunny roll to be folded into a fancy triangle. The Crusty Team run a clean, tidy and relaxed ship, they’ll bend over backwards to help where they can as they did for us and our van ( I can’t recommend them enough) . Kids can have their freedom , same goes for the grown up kids.So if you’re looking for a park where staff don’t have a cow because you parked your car is 6 inches out of place and want a relaxed-stop-and-breath-the-fresh-mountain-air break along with the very best of old school atmosphere you won’t be disappointed.
Paul Lloyd

Beautiful owners so welcoming also prime location right next to the river. And across from Mystic Park 👌
Jamie Dappa Williams
24/05/2021
I was not disappointed. It lived up to its name. Really enjoyed my stay. One improvement that would make it a six star would be to have the toilet and shower cubicle doors to be taller than me (and every one else) just because it feels a little bit exposing even though I know people won't look over. Otherwise I would 10/10 come here again.
Noah Cooper
24/05/2021
Magnificent, down to earth family owned and run camp, mountain streams and walks, steeped in history. We are regulars. Would love to see a little signage with the history of and restoration of the old hall. Highly recommended for families and mountain bikers and paragliders !

We stayed here over the March long weekend. It was busy and it was loud at night but there were messages sent out each night to remind people to keep noise down after 10pm. You do expect some noise however as you are staying at a caravan park and on a busy weekend. The facilities were always clean as were the grounds, the park is a little rough around the edges but it gives it that old school caravan park feel.No playground etc but the kids were on their bikes the whole time.We especially liked the Crusty Cafe serving coffee and bacon and egg rolls from 7am each day.Great place to stay with the kids, only a short bike ride to town and right on the mountain bike trails.

Chris Ioannidis
24/05/2021
This place is great, reasonable competative prices, grassy sites, clean amenities, bit further from town than the others but super close to the mountain biking and a nicer camping experience then in town, as long as your not a softie that dosent like being out side this place is great, can get a little noisey in peak times but that's not managements fault, plus friendly staff makes this place a awesome place to camp/ stay, yes the cabins aren't five star but they do there job just fine, we have stayed here ever since we found the ones i n town unpleasant, yes we have stayed in both the cabins and the campgrounds, big up to camp crusty

Camp Crusty. Geez what a place. We have been here 5 years running. Most relaxed park I have stayed at in Bright. Caters for larger groups, families, couples or solo travelers. Beautiful shady grounds, regularly cleaned amenities and very friendly and helpful staff.- Bbq breakfast and coffee available at Easter (maybe other times?)- Great location near walks, bike tracks, Morses Creek, rec reserve, Wandiligong.- Handle loud or disruptive groups professionally.- Electric blankets in cabins.- Scenic walk into town. Will happily keep coming here indefinitely :):):):):):)

Stayed a night on an unpowered camp site. The site was clean as were the amenities. A little shabby, but it's not a resort. Cant comment on the kitchen as I didn't use it but my friend who stayed in a cabin said it wasnt flashy but still comfortable.Definitely worth a stay if you're not precious about staying in luxury and style or jumping on the blue dirt shuttles as it's right beside the pick up point and the creek is nice to soak in after a day on the trails. Also the bike wash station is a great touch, free to use and definitely necessary on the dryer days when there's dust and dirt everywhere

Firstly, I couldn't speak more highly of the staff here, they do an excellent job and this is a big part of why we come back here every year. The camp is on a beautiful spacious block surrounded by beautiful views, big gums and natives with a nice creek running by the grounds.Prices are very reasonable with everything you need for a comfortable camping/cabin experience.Feels a bit more free and laid back compared to the busy parks we stayed at in town.Look forward to coming back soon!

Went up for a boys weekend and had a blast. Accommodation was neat, cosy and very affordable. Loved the relaxed vibe and all the places to sit around and relax. Great location within walking distance of town and plenty of sport and recreation options literally across the road. Staff were super friendly and provided some great recommendations for activities and places to eat in the area. Counting down the days until we go back!!!

We recently spent some time in Bright for a bucks party. This joint was close enough to town without being annoyingly busy. Rooms had everything we needed, and nothing we didn't. Bathrooms clean and tidy. Staff were fantastic and friendly. A well run business with I'm sure a lot of repeat customers!

This has always been an excellent place and good value for money.I wholeheartedly recommend it. Not too far out of town for walkers and cyclists but still a reasonably quiet location.

We had a lads getaway weekend up in bright and this place worked out perfectly. No fuss facilities in a great location and very fairly priced. Showers and toilets were clean and the water was hot!! The staff were also very accommodating and shared some great local knowledge. We will be back!

We love the park and the people that run it. It has a very relaxed atmosphere and it is in a great location. My only concern is that during Easter when it is so busy there are not enough toilets available.

I just had an amazing weekend at Camp Crusty in Bright! It has all you need for a Melbourne get away...mountain biking, walks through alpine forrest, bit of golf, local footy and trout fishing. The venue has all your basics covered with the camp crusty team being friendly to work with, answering any questions we had.

This was our third stay at Camp Crusty, the first two times we camped at an unpowered site, however this Easter Break we decided to splurge and go with on of the cute little cabins! The cabins were great, very comfy, clean linen was supplied and space to store our belongings. Our days were mostly spent out adventuring, riding bikes, swimming in the rivers, drinking cold beers and enjoying the local sites and eateries. The cabins were a perfect little spot to rest up at the end of the day. There are 2 shower/toilet blocks, and even over Easter Weekend, no big waits. Although we brought out own instant coffee with us, we ended up getting up every morning and purchasing delicious barista coffee and bacon and eggs rolls from the Cafe Crusty, while watching the sun rise and all the families and guests start to bustle for the day.Camp Crusty is no-frills, super friendly and welcoming to everyone. The way I think of it is, if you like camping, being outdoors and being fairly self-sufficient, this is the place for you. If you're a bit picky and pedantic about a bit of dust on the floor and buildings that are a bit old, then maybe try another much more expensive holiday park.

Camp Crusty is in the most perfect, picturesque area of Bright. Facilities had everything you needed, place was clean and beds were comfortable. Highly recommend

We visited on probably the busiest weekend of the year so the place was pretty packed. We camped in our camper trailer and it was quiet at night after 10.30. Perhaps excepting the snorers a few tents away. Great access to the mtb tracks and to Mystic for flying. The camp itself isn't in excellent condition however I've been coming here for at least 25 years and nothing has changed. The toilet blocks could do with revamp? The owners are friendly and happy to chat. The coffee machine in the morning is super!25 years ago one of my hang gliding mates coined the outdoor inn, 'Camp Crusty'. Looks like it has stuck. I'll be back again! Thanks Hughbert

Great camping spot. Based ourselves here for a few days road biking. Location close to town as well at many of the mountains to climb.Large camping sites. Facilities fairly basic, but kept clean and good value for money. Friendly staff.

Great fun during the Easter break! Had a river running past the camp ground so my son had an amazing time. Just need one more fridge in the camp kitchen especially during peak times. Also, need to make the baskets in the showers more sturdier & larger. But overall- our family would definitely camp here again!

Very basic budget accommodation as described. The room was clean and the staff were super friendly. The park is opposite Mystic MTB trailhead which means you can ride in and out which is why we chose to stay there. If you're expecting a day spa might wanna re-evaluate ur choice! Even though we checked out at 10am Michael (owner) let us use the shower etc in the arvo after our ride, excellent service!

My partner and I loved it here. The park buildings are very old; however, were kept clean. Staff were friendly. Not for the glampers, but perfect for us. Will definitely stay again.

For camping to Mtb ride at Mystic look no further. Based at the very bottom of the hero trail , ride in ride out.Camp ground was flat and well shaded.Camp kitchen is fairly basic but does the jobToilets and showers again basic but were clean and functional. The best bit is there is no kids playground or bouncy castle !Fire pits available and wood on request $Cheap and cheerful. I will use this as my base every time from now on.
